Azure Kinect with C Windows Forms Application
Prerequisites
• Visual Studio 2022 or later

• Basic understanding of C and Windows Forms applications
Task 1: Open Camera with Color
Initialize the Azure Kinect sensor and display the color camera feed in a Windows Form.
Implementation Steps
1. Set Up Azure Kinect SDK: Ensure the Azure Kinect SDK is installed and properly configured in your Visual Studio project. Reference the `Microsoft.Azure.Kinect.Sensor` namespace in your code.
2. Initialize Kinect Sensor: Create a method to initialize the Kinect sensor. Use the `Device.Open()` method to open a connection to the sensor.
3. Start Camera: Configure the color camera settings (e.g., resolution and frame rate) and start the camera.
Task 2: Depth Image – Show Depth, Histogram
Display the depth image captured by the Azure Kinect sensor and create a histogram to visualize the depth data distribution.
Implementation Steps
1. Retrieve Depth Frame: Access the depth frame from the sensor using the SDK’s methods.
2. Process Depth Data: Convert the raw depth data into a format suitable for display (e.g., converting depth values to pixel colors).
3. Create Histogram: Analyze the depth data to create a histogram, illustrating the distribution of depth values.
4. Display on Form: Show the depth image and histogram on the form, updating in real-time as new data is received.
Task 3: Pose Show Skeleton, 3D Pose Draw Line on 2 Hands
Track the user’s skeleton and display it, including a specific visualization that draws a line between the two hands in 3D space.
Implementation Steps
1. Enable Body Tracking: Utilize the Azure Kinect Body Tracking SDK to start tracking bodies.
2. Retrieve Skeleton Data: For each tracked body, extract the skeletal joint positions.
3. Visualize Skeleton: Draw the skeleton on the form, including all major joints and connections.
4. Draw Line Between Hands: Calculate the 3D positions of both hands and draw a line between them, updating in real-time.
Task 4: Collision – Ball Collision with the Line
Introduce a virtual ball that collides with the line drawn between the user’s hands.
Implementation Steps
1. Create Virtual Ball: Implement a movable ball within the application’s visual space.
2. Detect Collision: Calculate the position of the ball relative to the line between the hands. Detect collisions based on proximity.
3. Collision Response: When a collision is detected, provide a visual indication and potentially alter the ball’s trajectory.
